Take a morning flight to Christchurch and check into boutique hotel The George. Tour around the post-earthquake shattered city center, see the innovative and exciting new business popping up, take in the new and restored architecture, such as the Isaac Theatre. A great place for coffee is quirky C1, or dumplings at Pot-Stickers, but there are so many places we like to go to.
We highly recommend you visit the Art Precinct with the re-opened Art Gallery and contemporary art at COCA in this creative hub of New Zealand. In the evenings we can arrange tickets to The Court Theatre which we think is one of the world’s best theatres. Make sure you try Pedro’s home-cooked lamb, just around the corner from The George, it’s delicious.
