DAY 1

Arrive in to Auckland in be greeted airside for VIP Custom Clearance and a great start to your trip. Spend the night in Five Star Luxury in the premier Suite at Sofitel Viaduct Auckland.

Private dining can be arranged that night or we can arrange a special meal dinner at The Depot, or one of Auckland’s many fantastic restaurants.  One of our Auckland favourites is Ostro in the Seafarers Building in the hip precinct of Britomart.

Several shopping precincts in Auckland

View across the harbour from Waiheke Island

Sleep in; luxuriating in bed until you are ready to face the world. We can arrange babysitting services to entertain your children while you take some time for yourself. We love having breakfast in bed followed by an in-room massage.

Grab a tea or coffee and a few bliss balls at Wellesley Street Barista and get a feel for this young, dynamic city. Auckland is the place to get your shopping fix for fashion and international luxury brands. We will introduce you to some of best brands in fashion through our family connections, who are involved at the highest levels of New Zealand fashion.

Take a private luxury boat trip on Auckland’s Waitemata harbour and get dropped off on Waiheke Island. Your Antipodean host will take you to The Shed at Te Motu for a delicious lunch of New Zealand lamb, cooked to mouth-watering perfection for 18 hours, served with a few glasses of the vineyard’s’ wine. Enjoy a complementary wine tasting and we can arrange to ship some of the best vintages back home for you.

Your Antipodean host will transfer you to The Boatshed for the evening, with views across the harbour in comfortable and peaceful surroundings. Dinner will be arrange and cooked specifically to your tastes, probably with fresh fish caught for you that day.

The Long Room at The Boatshed on Waiheke Island

You and your family will choose from Heli-fishing at a remote spot, flying over captivating views of the harbour; a Wine Experience, sampling wines that often don’t make it to market as the whole vintage is bought up and sent back to Asia for private collections; Island Hikes, either alone or with an private guide; Art Tours of local artist’s works or simply a walk along the pristine beaches.

Eagles Nest – Dramatic outlook in the Bay of islands

The next morning, after a delicious start to the day, your helicopter will fly you to sort after, celebrity luxury lodge the Eagle’s Nest in the Bay of Islands.

Head down for lunch in the historic town of Russell and walk around to understand the history of New Zealand, do a little local shopping while you are there.  Russell is a gorgeous, quaint Victorian township.  It was once a haven for runaway sailors, escaped convicts, lusty whalers and the site of New Zealand’s first European settlement and capital.

At night, enjoy a candle light dinner in your private villa, of freshly caught fish and crayfish, cooked by your personal chef.

Pool-side in the Bay of Islands

Choose from world-class big game fishing, scenic cruising, sailing, diving, kayaking, bush walking, mountain biking, helicopter flight seeing, romantic picnics on your own private island, or take a private helicopter to famous Kauri Cliffs for golf on the par 72 championship course.

The choices are endless with our favourite being anything related to the water: Diving, swimming and lazing by the pool with a cocktail or some bubbles.

The luxury of the Owner’s Cottage at the Farm at Cape Kidnappers

DAY 6

Transfer to Napier and stay at The Farm at Cape KidnappersOver the next two days you can play golf, have private tours of the famous wineries, such as world renowned Craggy Range.  We can introduce you to the wonderful people there, who will show you how the wines is grown, why the land is so important to the flavours, and give you a phenomenal wine experience.

Your private transfer to view the amazing Gannett colony

If you are more interested in food, Hawkes Bay is called New Zealand’s “food bowl”. We will arrange visits to a number of interesting food producers and growers, take the family to see ice-cream, honey or olive oil being produced, or visit the wonderful local farmer’s market if you’re there on a Saturday.

Our favourite place to get a health fix is at Chantal Wholefoods in Napier and stock up on organic produce and have a green juice, followed by lunch around the corner at Mister Ds.

Canoeing in Canterbury

DAY 8

Take a morning flight to Christchurch and check into Relais & Châteaux hotel Otahuna Lodge. Tour around the post-earthquake shattered city center, see the innovative and exciting new business popping up, take in the new and restored architecture, such as the Isaac Theatre.

We highly recommend you visit the Art Precinct with the re-opened Art Gallery and contemporary art at COCA in this creative hub of New Zealand. In the evenings we can arrange tickets to The Court Theatre which we think is one of the world’s best theatres. Make sure you try Pedro’s home-cooked lamb, just around the corner from The George, it’s delicious.

SKOPE Classic car racing experience

For the speedsters, you can learn to race cars at Ruapuna Raceway just outside the city centre. If you are visiting in February,  all Antipodean guests will be hosted as VIPs at the SKOPE Classic car racing event.  It is a fantastic weekend for car enthusiasts and families alike. Last year Antipodean had seven family members racing and we can send you out on a hot lap with SKOPE’s CEO, our CEO’s brother Guy.

If speed and adrenaline isn’t your fix, then there are a number of beautiful things to do in Canterbury, from hot air ballooning, fishing, walks and of course, golf.

The Lodge at The Hills with tennis court and private outdoor dining

DAY 10

Finish your trip in the spectacular beauty of Queenstown, staying at the ultra exclusive whole private villa estate, The Lodge at The Hills near Arrowtown.  I grew up spending my holidays in Queenstown and adore this whole region.  When we are down there we typically have breakfast at the Chop Shop, lunch at Amisfield Winery, dinner at Saffron and watch movies at boutique cinema, Dorothy Browns in Arrowtown.

For you, our Antipodean host will arrange everything you expected from Queenstown and more.  It might be adventure, Bungee Jumping, romance or time in some of the most photographed nature on the planet.  You get to choose. Some men want to go fly-fishing at Blanket Bay, but we think a few days of health and pampering at Aroha Wellness Retreat would have me all set before flying back to home.
