New Zealand (Aotearoa – Land of the Long White Cloud) is made up of three islands; the North Island, South Island and Stewart Island. It is one of the most picturesque countries on earth, with a population of only 4.5 million people, 1 million of which are reputed to be living or travelling overseas at any given time. New Zealand is a country of vast mountain ranges, spectacular landscapes, epic glaciers and fiords, active volcanoes, and incredible water-ways.
The regions of North Island of New Zealand are Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisbourne, Manawatu-Wanganui, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, and Wellington.
The regions of the South Island of New Zealand are Nelson-Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago and Southland.
