Following breakfast you will taken into DARK SKY for the beginning of your
fishing adventure. En route, you will get a birds eye view of Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. Have a picnic amongst New Zealand’s highest peaks and if you’re up to it, a leisurely few turns down New Zealand’s longest ski run – the Tasman Glacier. You’ll be greeted at DARK SKY by your private guide who will introduce and brief you on the area before setting off on what is simply the start of a fly fishing odyssey. All forms of fly fishing are tested here, from the tranquil bliss of the lake delta, to the rugged white water mountain streams where Rainbow rule, or to the sublime spring creeks where Big Browns rise all day.
Activities include: Fly fishing (Nov – Apr); stargazing; skiing; glacier landings; hunting and wildlife observations.

Witness two of the last examples of glaciers creeping their way through rainforests (up to 4m per day) via an ancient landscape where Big Browns turn to gold and our native Kiwi roams freely. This national park is known for its “glacier country”. In some places, huge tongues of ice extend all the way back down to near sea level. 3000m peaks tower over lowland rainforests that reach all the way to the edge of the Tasman Sea. It’s an area also blessed with contrasting tussock grasslands, coast, lakes, rivers and wetlands.
Activities include: Fly fishing (Oct – Apr); hunting; glacier landings and wildlife observations.

Finishing up for a night of fun in New Zealand’s most popular resort town Queenstown.
